Derek Adler is a dedicated and astute civil litigator practicing primarily in North Carolina Superior Court. His main practice areas include: catastrophic injury, contract disputes, insurance bad faith, and construction and property issues. From 2011-2013, Derek was honored to serve as President of the William H. Bobbitt Inn of Court, an organization comprised of the best trial attorneys in the area. Through his collaboration with fellow attorneys Fred DeVore and Will DeVore, they have successfully litigated an insurance bad faith verdict in excess of $1 million, a personal injury verdict of $6 million, and have successfully defended numerous clients in multi-million dollar contract disputes. Derek has also served as lead counsel on several appeals, including obtaining a reversal of a trial court decision, which denied insurance proceeds to an accidental shooting victim who was left paralyzed from the chest down.In 2013, Derek received his license to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is also a current and active member of the Mecklenburg County and North Carolina Bar Associations. An avid sports fan, Derek spends much of his leisure time attending Carolina sporting events and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees.
