I was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, my family moved to New York, and ultimately settled in Rochester, Minnesota in 1975. I graduated from Mayo High School, after which I obtained a medical secretary certificate and worked as a medical secretary and transcriptionist while attending Rochester Community College. After relocating to the Twin Cities I graduated from Hamline University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. I earned my Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from William Mitchell College of Law.

After law school I returned to Rochester, where, ultimately, I joined Marquette Bank as a trust officer. I continued in that capacity after Marquette Bank was acquired by Wells Fargo. I am a graduate of the National Bankers’ Association National Trust and Graduate Trust Schools, and earned the CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor) designation.

During the 18 years I served as a trust officer, I met with many individuals and families reviewing their estate plans and goals. I helped them carry out their estate plans, settle their estates upon the passing of a loved one, and distribute assets and administer any resulting trusts. In March 2018, I joined Rodney D. Anderson Law Offices, L.L.C. Here I am happy to assist clients in many of the same ways I did as a trust officer.

I believe in giving back to my profession. I am past president of Legal Assistance of Olmsted County and the Rochester Estate Planning Council, and volunteer for Wills for Heroes.

I believe in giving back to my community. I have served as a volunteer mediator and guardian ad litem, am a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Greater Rochester, and have served on the Rochester Art Center Board.

In my spare time, I teach yoga, and will complete my training to become a yoga therapist in 2020. I like reading, walking, and travelling; and I support the thriving arts community in and around Rochester. I love spending time with my family, especially my husband, Roger, and our son and his family, including two grandchildren.
