Joanna D. Brick is founder of the firm. She is an attorney and mediator with broad legal experience with a focus on all aspects of family law, licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York. For more than 20 years she has worked in the legal world, first as a legal assistant/paralegal and then as a legal intern during law school. This included working for the City of New York’s Administration of Children’s Services (ACS) in its abuse and neglect division, where Ms. Brick prosecuted parents and guardians who were not acting in the best interests of their minor children.

After receiving her J.D. from New York Law School, Ms. Brick clerked for Honorable David J. Issenman, Superior Court of N.J., Ch. Div., Family Part – Union County, ret. Since her clerkship, Ms. Brick worked at several medium size law firms, gaining knowledge and skills in the area of family law.

After gaining invaluable experience at several law firms, Ms. Brick now devotes herself to her boutique practice providing personal attention and effective representation to parents and their children. Her passion for helping those in need has extended to her community involvement, where she volunteered with Partners for Women and Justice, Montclair, N.J., and the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project (BWLAP), Morris County, N.J. She is licensed to practice before all Courts of the State of New Jersey, United States District Court of New Jersey and Supreme Court of New York. She has now been certified with the State as a New Jersey Family Law Mediator.
