Based in our Atlantic City office, Justin Britton is an associate in Cooper Levenson’s Employment, Labor Law and Casino Defense Practice Groups. In that role, Justin focuses his practice on all aspects of employment and labor law and litigation as well as the defense of negligence, premises liability, and personal injury claims.

Practice Highlights

Whether it’s making appearances in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, researching case and statutory law, motion practice, or drafting memorandum outlining the recommended course of action for corporate and casino clients, Justin works diligently for a successful defense.

Justin’s experience encompasses a variety of civil and criminal issues. He served as a Judicial Extern for the Hon. Joseph E. Kane in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic County, Civil Law Division. While there, Justin analyzed motions submitted to or argued before the Superior Court; attended trials, motion hearings and pre-trial conferences; and drafted Memorandum of Decisions and Orders on a variety of civil matters.

In law school, Justin held a clerkship at Cooper Levenson, during which he researched case and statutory law on legal issues in areas including casino defense, labor and employment litigation, workers’ compensation, corporate law, and taxation. He gained litigation experience while serving as a Judicial Intern for the Presiding Judge in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic County, Criminal Law Division, the Hon. Michael A. Donio. In this capacity, he attended numerous trials and motion hearings in several criminal cases and held regular discussions with Judge Donio in his chambers.

Education/Admissions

An alumnus of St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey, Justin received his undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (B.S. 2008) and his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law (J.D. 2012) with a distinction in Business Organizations Law. Justin recently began taking courses at Villanova University School of Business and expects to earn his MBA in 2016. He is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
