In addition to his advocacy in the courtroom, Mr. Buchanan is a leader in the community and currently sits as the Chair of the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission. As Chair of the state and locally designated Single County Authority for drugs and alcohol, he works tirelessly to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and balanced continuum of quality prevention, intervention, and treatment services for the citizens of Bucks County. Mr. Buchanan also served as the Chair of the Residential Advocacy Committee for the Bucks County Recovery House Association and can assist in the difficult decision of where to turn when a loved one is in need of treatment. In these roles, Mr. Buchanan has amassed a wealth of knowledge and information to share with clients who are struggling with addiction and their families. Mr. Buchanan is well-respected by his peers and the courts, who appreciate his informed, compassionate, and comprehensive approach to obtain tremendous results for his clients.

Mr. Buchanan is a life-long resident of Bucks County and a graduate of William Tennent High School. After graduating summa cum laude from West Chester University, Mr. Buchanan finished in the top 5 of his class from Widener University School of Law. Mr.Buchanan currently lives in Upper Bucks County with his wife and two sons. When he is not in court or with his clients, Mr.Buchanan plays ice hockey in a local adult league.
