Description Judge Buckner is a retired Pierce County Superior Court Judge with 32 years’ experience on the bench. Judge Buckner has presided over numerous complex civil trials; including personal injury, medical malpractice, contract disputes, condemnation cases as well as many others. Judge Buckner has completed the National Judicial College Civil Mediation course. She was an Adjunct Professor of Law, teaching Civil Trial Advocacy and Lawyering Skills, at the University of Puget Sound Law School from 1978 to 1990. Before her election to the bench in 1985, Judge Buckner was a Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner for four years and, prior to that, an attorney in private practice beginning in 1976.
