Ed Clausen is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. His practice emphasizes defending hospitals and health care professionals in medical legal matters including malpractice claims and professional licensing issues. He received recognition from the Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2007 and 2012 for one of the Top Defendants’ Verdicts of the year and for the Most Defense Verdicts in 2012. He also represents clients in Family Law matters throughout central Missouri. He is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, DRI, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, The Missouri Bar Tort and Family Law Section. He served as Cole County Bar President, 1996. He serves as a Disciplinary Panel Hearing Officer, appointed by the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Court of Missouri.

Ed regularly gives presentations to other lawyers on medical/legal and family law topics. In 2007, he received the AV Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating indicating the highest level of legal ability and ethics as judged by his peers.

Ed completed Mediation Training for Civil Cases from the University of Missouri-School of Law, fulfilling Supreme Court Rule 17 requirements.

Ed resides in Jefferson City with his wife Debby, and three children, Matthew, Brooke and David.
