In 2017 Ms. Coughlin was ranked a Texas Top 100 Rising Star Super Lawyer, a Texas Top 50 Female Rising Star Super Lawyer. Later in the year, she was named a Super Lawyer amongst attorneys practicing 10 years or more. Ms. Coughlin represents individuals, small businesses, schools, and corporations in many types of civil and commercial litigation. She handles cases of varying size and complexity, including whistleblower actions, personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, defamation, products liability, breach of contract, civil rights, employment disputes and homeowner’s association disputes. She has successfully tried, co-chaired, numerous jury trials. Ms. Coughlin was selected as a Thompson Reuters’ Rising Star Super Lawyer in 2014 – 2016. In law school she was selected as a member of the Board of Barristers and the National Mock Trial Team.

Served as a lead associate prosecuting Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act cases against the largest generic drug manufacturer in the world. Ms. Coughlin is frequently asked to give presentations on various litigation issues, including social media and its impact on the legal system. She is married to an author, the couple lives in Austin with their daughter, son, and two dogs.
