I love what I do! I feel so fortunate to live in Bend and yet have a thriving, statewide practice in exactly the area of the law that I’ve come to know well and enjoy very much.

I’m a third generation attorney, so apparently it’s in my blood. My grandfather was a corporate attorney and my dad a small town general practitioner, both of whom created amazing reputations based upon their skills and intelligence. I feel lucky to have followed in their footsteps.

I grew up in Baker City, Oregon, and moved to Bend to attend Sunriver Prep School while also ski racing for Mt. Bachelor Ski Education Foundation. For my undergraduate degree I decided to try out the East Coast, and fell in love with Colby College. After graduating with Economics and Environmental Policy degrees I moved to Boston to try a career in investment banking. I discovered I wasn’t a big city girl, and traveled the world for about a year while applying to Oregon law schools. I attended Lewis and Clark law school and came right back to Bend after graduating and passing the bar in 2006.

I started concentrating in personal injury/plaintiff’s work in 2008, after having worked on the other side doing insurance defense work following graduation. My practice is now narrowly focused on catastrophic auto accident cases as well as medical malpractice and civil rights violations. I love what I do because it’s intellectually challenging and I get to help people through the biggest losses, the biggest struggles of their lives. I really enjoy creating relationships with my clients and their family members and reaching the best possible conclusion to their personal injury matters. I enjoy the creativity and out-of-the-box thinking that goes into getting many cases resolved, such as the enactment of policy changes within police departments or in hospitals in addition to a monetary settlement.
