Description Scott is a shareholder at SS+D in the firm’s litigation department. He focuses his practice on general litigation, family law, criminal defense, probate litigation and appeals. He has extensive experience in all facets of litigation including jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Scott has spent his entire legal career in the Miami Valley with SS+D. He graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law with honors. While in law school, he began as a law clerk at SS+D and ultimately became an associate upon graduation. After several years litigating a variety of issue and representing both large and small companies as well as individuals, he developed his own practice and became a shareholder in the firm. Now, he draws upon that broad experience to advocate for his clients, protecting their legal rights while finding creative solutions to complex problems. Scott is an active member of the local bar association and sits on the Committee on Bar Exam and Qualifications. While in law school, Scott won the Walter Rice Moot Court competition and received CALI awards in four subjects for having achieved the highest overall grade. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2003.Prior to law school, Scott was in advertising sales for both newspapers and directories. He attended The American University and received a B.S.B.A in Marketing in 1997. While at American, Scott was a four year Varsity Letter member of the Men’s Swim Team. Outside of work, Scott spends most of his time with his wife and trying to keep up with the athletic endeavors of his three daughters. He enjoys reading, playing guitar and is an avid golfer.
