Background & Experience

Sujith Divakaran is committed to protecting the rights of employees and making sure employers follow the rules. Sujith joined Carlin & Buchsbaum in May 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Sujith gained extensive experience in employment law matters as he litigated discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases from inception through trial while running his own plaintiff-side employment law practice in the San Francisco Bay Area for over three years. More recently, Sujith returned to his Southern California roots taking a position with an Orange County based employment law firm where he continued to represent against employers in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage & hour actions. Sujith has practiced in state and federal court jurisdictions throughout California and is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association.

Education

Sujith graduated from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 2007. During law school, he assisted injured workers involved in workers’ compensation disputes, and also spent time advocating on behalf of individuals with disabilities.

Interests

Sujith enjoys basketball, tennis, dreaming of dunking basketballs, and music. During his free time, he enjoys exploring new restaurants and attending local music events.
