Description

An associate attorney in the Health Care Law practice, John works with health care entities and practices of all types on matters such as federal and state regulations, medical staff issues, third party payor reimbursement, governance, and employee relations.

John obtained his J.D., with a concentration in health law, from Seton Hall University School of Law. As a research assistant to the Law School’s Dean, he assisted in editing a health care compliance textbook and preparing a fraud and abuse course. He also was an extern for the Office of General Counsel at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, and a summer associate at a boutique health care law firm where he assisted hospitals and health systems with medical staff issues.

Prior to joining Houston Harbaugh, John was as a compliance analyst for a large health insurance provider. His responsibilities included ensuring compliance with Medicaid and Medicare regulations and NCQA accreditation standards.
