Mr. Anthony J. Enea has spent the past three decades protecting the rights of New York’s senior and disabled populations. He is a past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation. Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the 2013 Above the Bar Awards, Mr. Enea’s practice areas include elder law; Medicaid asset protection trusts; Medicaid applications (home care and nursing home); special needs planning; guardianships (Article 81 and 17-A); and wills, trusts and estates.

Mr. Enea has chaired/lectured several hundred continuing legal education programs and speaks regularly at public and private organizations across the region. Currently a guest contributor for About.com’s Assisted Living Section, he is also the former editor-in-chief of the “Elder Law Attorney” of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and has contributed extensively to publications for the Westchester County and the New York State Bar Associations.

Mr. Enea is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation as accredited by the American Bar Association.* He is president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation and a fellow of the New York State Bar Foundation. Mr. Enea served as a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association and the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is on the Guardianship Advisory Committee of the Office of Court Administration for the State of New York.

Mr. Enea has been recognized with numerous peer-review designations including Westchester County’s Top 25 “Super Lawyers,” “Best Lawyer” (Best Lawyers in America, 2011-2018, and has been AV Preeminent peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell, since 2002. He was named Best Lawyers’ 2018 Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains and is a recipient of the Golden Harvest Corporate Award from the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services for outstanding and lasting contributions to Westchester seniors. Mr. Enea received the 2018 Distinguished Service Award from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, the 2016 Honorable Richard J. Daronco Distinguished Service Award from the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County, and was honored with the Dr. Joseph A. Cimino Community Service Award at ArchCare at Home’s 2016 Hope Gala. He is a member of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University’s Board of Visitors, Somers’ Board of Ethics, the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services, and the Business Development Board of the Hudson Valley Bank.
