Mark focuses his practice on preparing and trying lawsuits, often involving allegations of catastrophic injuries and severe potential damages, and handling appeals resulting from those trials. A large part of his work is on behalf of railroads in grade crossing, trespasser, and FELA cases. Mark also has great depth of experience in medical malpractice defense, trucking accident cases, construction lawsuits, legal malpractice defense, product liability defense, and insurance coverage disputes. Since first being admitted to the bar in 2004, he has tried nine civil cases to verdict as lead or second chair trial counsel—mostly in multi-week, high-exposure trials.

Mark provides legal advice to the zoning board of appeals for a large metropolitan county in the St. Louis area and represents that county in litigation. He also negotiates and drafts various commercial and residential real estate agreements, including purchase and sale contracts, licenses, and utility and construction easements. Mark uses his litigation experience to provide valuable insight to his clients when negotiating such agreements. He volunteers his time to advise a not for profit corporation consisting of alumni of the St. Louis Blues.

A team player, Mark enjoys associating with out-of-town law firms as local counsel to help them navigate the rules and procedures of jurisdictions such as St. Clair County, Illinois; Madison County, Illinois; St. Louis County, Missouri; and the City of St. Louis, Missouri.

Mark is known in the firm for the excellence of his legal research, analysis, and writing. He has authored numerous successful briefs, memoranda of law, and significant dispositive motions.

Mark lives with his wife and two sons in Clayton, Missouri.
