Philip C. He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 and is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1983. Mr. Federico is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Bar Association of Baltimore City and Bar Association of the District of Columbia. He is also an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, The American Judicature Society, The Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc. (MICPEL), and the Justinian Society. Mr. Federico has handled cases throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He also has appeared "pro hac vice" in courts in New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, etc. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia, as well as the Supreme Court for the United States. Mr. Federico has achieved an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers which reflects the highest rating an attorney can receive for litigation skills and ethical standards. Mr. Federico serves as a faculty member of the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc., teaching and instructing on the preparation and trial of medical malpractice cases. Specifically, he has presented the "Deposition Training Program", "Preparation and Presentation of the Life Care Plan Expert", and "Trying the Case" for MICPEL. Mr. Federico has presented grand rounds to physicians at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital and other health care facilities on "How to Avoid Malpractice". He has also carried on seminars for the National Business Institute to Lawyers and Paralegals in Maryland on such issues as "Medical Malpractice in Maryland", "Analyzing Medical Records", etc. Additionally, Mr. Federico has testified before the Maryland State Legislature on numerous occasions involving issues related to law, medicine and tort reform. Mr. Federico has been a member of the Associated Italian American Charities of Maryland since 1993, receiving the "Bud Ecalano Award" in 1998. Mr. Federico has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland since 1995. |
