ERIC G. FERNANDEZ joined TFLG in March of 2009 and became the sole shareholder August 1, 2011.

Eleven years prior, Mr. Fernandez obtained dual B.A. degrees from St. Mary’s College of California with honors. Following graduation, Mr. Fernandez was employed at Heller Ehrman as a Senior Trial Paralegal in the firm’s Antitrust and Complex Litigation division with a primary focus on representing Visa U.S.A. and Visa International.

Mr. Fernandez was selected to be part of the trial team that handled the defense of the then largest civil antitrust class action in United States history for Visa U.S.A., Inc., In re Visa Check/MasterMoney Antitrust Litigation. Mr. Fernandez then joined the firm of DLA Piper (then Gray Cary Ware & Friedenrich) as a Senior Paralegal, and later as a Law Clerk, in the Consumer Class Action and White Collar Crime divisions of the firm.

Mr. Fernandez received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in Law School he completed internships as a Certified Law Student with Sacramento Child Advocacy, the Sacramento Crime Victims’ Clinic, and the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office.

As a Certified Law Student, Mr. Fernandez obtained substantial courtroom experience arguing numerous civil and criminal motions. Mr. Fernandez was also selected to work directly with the Yolo County District Attorney, Jeff W. Reisig, on a highly publicized capital murder case involving a California Highway Patrol Officer, People v. Volarvich et al.

Immediately after Law School, Mr. Fernandez was employed as a Law Clerk with the State Attorney General’s office to assist trial counsel, Bingham McCutcheon, in the successful defense against a coalition of Northern California Water purveyors involving the proceeds of the sale of hydroelectric power generated by the State Water Project.

Since joining TFLG, A Law Corporation, Mr. Fernandez has appeared as a guest speaker on panels for the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers, and at the LPS/AMS 2010 Annual Conference. Also he and his partner Mr. Bean prevailed, on behalf of their client, in a published appellate opinion citied as one of California’s 10 most significant real property cases of 2012.
