John Forsythe is a third-generation attorney who resides in Tacoma. Originally from Billings, Montana, John relocated to the Pacific Northwest after receiving his law degree. John’s hobbies and interests include hiking, camping, weight training, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Education

John received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Texas International Law Journal and the Texas Young Lawyers Interscholastic Mock Trial Team. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College in 2007, where he graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Economics and Ancient Studies. He is licensed to practice in the State of Washington, and the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts.

Areas of Practice

John focuses on personal injury law. Before joining Campbell, Dille, Barnett and Smith, John worked with Lane Powell PC in Seattle, WA. While there, John focused on personal injury and employment discrimination matters, with a special emphasis on premises (store owner) liability for customer injuries. John’s experience as a personal injury defense attorney has given him a unique perspective to plaintiff-side personal injury work. John understands the defense perspective and knows how to position a case to achieve advantageous settlement or successful trial.

Community Activities

John enjoys contributing to his community. He currently volunteers with Artsfund, a nonprofit organization providing general operating support to art groups within King and Pierce County. He is also the Chair of the Economic Development Committee for the Puyallup Main Street Association.
