Kathryn T. Gathy is an associate in the firm’s litigation department. Mrs. Gathy’s areas of practice include litigation, serious personal injury, and medical malpractice defense.

Mrs. Gathy is originally from North Carolina and has also lived in Michigan, Connecticut, and Georgia. She moved to Savannah in May, 2017. Mrs. Gathy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2010. During college, Mrs. Gathy was an active member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, where she was highly involved in fundraising efforts for their philanthropy.

Mrs. Gathy earned her Juris Doctor from Western New England University, School of Law, graduating cum laude with a business concentration in May 2016. During Law School, Mrs. Gathy was a member of the Western New England Law Review for which she was the Assistant Managing Editor of Volume 38. She also participated in the Transactional Moot Court team on which her team placed as semi-finalists two years in a row at competition. During law school, Mrs. Gathy interned for the honorable Judge Dominic Squatrito of the United States District Court of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut. Mrs. Gathy is also currently completing her Master’s in Business Administration from Western New England University.

Upon completion of law school, Mrs. Gathy completed a clerkship with the honorable judges of the Superior Court of Connecticut. Mrs. Gathy also has experience in personal injury, business, property, foreclosure, environment, and intellectual property law.Mrs. Gathy is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Connecticut and South Carolina and also is a graduate of the Leadership Academy with the State Bar of Georgia. Mrs. Gathy is also involved with the Historic Foundation of Savannah 13th Colony and Junior League.
