Areas of Practice

Megan E. Gieseler is a tenacious attorney who has fought on behalf of large insurance companies in personal injury cases and real people faced with life’s everyday challenges that have resulted in generous settlements as well as great outcomes for her clients. She is an assertive and vigilant attorney who embraces a challenge and finds great reward in fighting for her clients. She is an experienced litigator having handled bench and jury trials as well as mediations and arbitrations. At Mevorah Law Offices LLC, Megan uses her years of experience to help her clients in Family Law, Personal Injury, and Immigration Law.

Megan grew up in a small, Midwestern town and is imbued with a strong sense of work ethic, community values, and a passion for helping her clients on a personal level. She obtains successful settlements for her personal injury clients; avoiding unnecessary trials, and has helped her immigration clients adjust their status to obtain green cards and remain in the United States.

In one instance, Ms. Gieseler quickly obtained a renewed work authorization and conditional residence card for her client, despite the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) delaying the case with a request for additional documents. The client’s Visa and work authorization cards were on the verge of expiration and her status in the United States was in jeopardy. Megan immediately composed a response to USCIS’ request for evidence, establishing several key arguments that showed the government had erred in requesting additional documents and delaying her client’s case from proceeding. As a result of Ms. Gieseler’s convincing and well-researched response, USCIS expedited the case and Megan got her client’s renewed work authorization in the nick of time saving her client from having to quit her job or work without authorization to support her family. Additionally, the client was scheduled for an interview regarding her conditional residence card within a matter of weeks.

Throughout her career, Megan has appeared and successfully argued contested motions and briefs in several counties, including, but not limited to: DuPage, Cook, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, and Winnebago County. In addition to local counties, Megan has also appeared and argued in Chicago’s Immigration courts and assisted many clients during their immigration interviews with USCIS in Chicago. Over the years Megan has appeared in front of several judges in these counties and has become familiar with the decorum and procedures of their courthouses. She has become well-versed with the judges’ standing orders and has witnessed how they rule on a variety of matters, which allows Megan to tailor her cases accordingly. It makes a difference to have local counsel, and Megan brings that to the table with her clients.

Megan has built her career on the principal of helping her clients on a personal level and is committed to serving the community, whenever possible. Her effervescent and down-to-earth personality instills Megan’s clients with a strong sense of comfort while working through what is often a difficult time in their lives.

She has performed volunteer work throughout her years as an attorney; offering pro bono legal services at the DuPage County Help Desk, participating in animal adoption drives, and assisting with toy drives for under-privileged families. Megan derives great reward from helping improve the lives of her clients and her practice has allowed her to do so for individuals from all walks of life.
