My estate planning practice emphasizes use of trusts, and my estate administration includes all forms of probate and post mortem trust administration, including preparation of individual income and fiduciary income tax returns, federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns. My elder law practice consists mainly of Medicaid planning. As a licensed life and health insurance agent and holder of Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, I can also offer our clients life insurance, annuities, and mutual funds to optimize their estate plans. I have many hundreds of clients in these areas of practice. I have conducted many estate planning seminars, and I have appeared on local radio and television programs discussing various aspects of estate planning. Prior to joining WealthCounsel LLC in 2011, I was a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys from 1998 to 2011, serving as a member of its Board of Governors from 2000 to 2003.

My municipal law clients include the Township of Delton, Sauk County, for which I serve as Town counsel. I also represent the School District of Baraboo on local issues and the Adams-Friendship p School Board in expulsion proceedings.

I have handled all types of real estate transactions , consumer, commercial , and municipal , and as a member of Attorneys ‘ Title Guaranty Fund, Inc., I can provide clients with title insurance and Section 1035 tax deferred exchange services.

I also have extensive experience in civil litigation of all types and business law with regard to formation of business entities, including non-profit organizations, and preparation of all types of business agreements.

Greenhalgh Legal Services is the current version of a law firm which can trace its roots to 1940, when my father, Robert L. Greenhalgh, began his law practice in Baraboo. I joined the firm in 1984 and am now the sole attorney in the firm.
