Sandhya Gupta has experience that includes work as a litigator with the New York office of the Washington, D.C. law firm of Arnold & Porter LLP.With the Chandra Law Firm, Gupta has played a leading role in the firm’s successful civil-rights and First Amendment practice, including a recent victory before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in a First Amendment matter over turning campaign-finance restrictions, and settlement of a significant religious-discrimination case.

Gupta is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, where she was articles editor of the Columbia Law Review, and was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She earned her undergraduate degree cum laude from Princeton University, where her studies were concentrated in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She has also served as a Fulbright Scholar in India. She served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge James S. Gwin of the Northern District of Ohio, researching and drafting opinions on both criminal and civil matters. Gupta has been honored by Crain’s Cleveland Business among "40-Under-40" Cleveland leaders for 2014.Gupta is admitted to practice law in both Ohio and New York.
