Blair Harrington joined Madigan, Dahl & Harlan as an associate in December of 2015. Blair’s practice reflects the needs of her business clients and is a blend between litigation and transactional work. Blair enjoys learning the ins and outs of her clients’ businesses in order to find the most effective solutions for her clients’ legal problems, whether inside or outside the courtroom.

Blair’s litigation practice is focused on the areas of construction, employment and general commercial law. Since joining MDH, Blair has represented clients in construction defect litigation, mechanic’s lien foreclosures, commercial lease disputes, business tort litigation surrounding the violation of non-competes, theft or misuse of trade secrets and/or unfair competition, and other breach of contract disputes.

Blair’s transactional practice is focused on meeting the various needs of her small business clients, including entity formation and incorporation and contract drafting and negotiation. Blair routinely drafts and negotiates commercial employment agreements, lease agreements, and purchase and sale agreements. Blair also frequently manages the trademark application process for clients looking to protect the intellectual property rights of their product or service marks.

Currently, Blair serves as the Vice Chair of the New Lawyers Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA). Blair is also a contributing editor to the New Lawyers’ column which appears in the Bench & Bar of Minnesota, the official publication of the MSBA.

Blair graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. During law school, Blair was a Note and Comment Editor on the Minnesota Journal of International Law, President of the Litigation Trial Advocacy Group and Student Director for the University of Minnesota Housing Law Clinic. Prior to law school, Blair attended the University of Denver where she graduated cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Spanish.
