Allison joined The Morales Firm in 2014, focusing on labor and employment law. Since joining the Firm, she has successfully represented individuals and companies in complex employment law and business litigation matters involving hostile work environment, discrimination, retaliation, unpaid minimum wages and overtime, breach of contract, non-compete agreements, breach of fiduciary duty, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Allison regularly provides counsel concerning compliance with employment laws and represents companies facing audits by the Department of Labor and Texas Workforce Commission. Allison also has substantial experience reviewing and negotiating severance agreements for employees. Previously, Allison served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Vanessa D. Gilmore of the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division, for the 2012 – 2014 term. Allison graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2012. In law school, she served as Senior Notes & Comments Editor of the California Law Review and Commentary Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice. She interned for the San Francisco Public Defender’s Officer, where she conducted hearings and argued motions as a certified law student. She also participated in several legal clinics, advising people of their rights and assisting in representing them before administrative and state courts.
