Attorney Glen Honig is the newest addition to our firm. As the former owner of his own law firm in La Mesa he brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of Family Law and Real Estate Matters. For the past 18 years Glen handled primarily family law cases, dissolution of marriage, child custody and visitation and support issues. As a part of his practice Glen also handled some Real Estate litigation, sales transactions, foreclosures, boundary disputes Homeowner’s Association issues, and Real Property insurance claims. He earned his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law (now known as Thomas Jefferson School of Law) in 1990 where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. At Western State University, Glen was a member of the Law Review, the Criminal Justice Journal, as a staff member and editor. Glen won the American Jurisprudence Award for excellent achievement in the study of Property II, and was featured in the 1989-1990 edition of the National Dean’s List recognizing the outstanding achievements of college students in America. Prior to attending law school, Glen was certified as a Paralegal by the University of San Diego, he owned and operated a trust deed foreclosure company, was a licensed Real Estate agent, selling real property and arranging financing for the purchase and re-finance of Real Property.

Throughout his impressive career, Glen has served seven years as a Judge Pro Tem and Settlement Judge for the San Diego County Superior Court, including the East County Division and Family Court in Downtown San Diego. Glen has consistently volunteered at the Superior Court, one year at the Family Law Access Project at the Sixth Avenue Family Court, four years providing help to victims of domestic violence at the East County Court, followed by five years providing assistance to victims of civil harassment. Currently, Glen is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego Family Law Bar Association and the Foothills Bar Association.

Glen and his wife have been married for 26 years and have two grown children. He understands the deep emotional bond of families, and the trauma of child custody and visitation issues. Glen is committed to helping families through the legal process with the least amount of litigation by providing creative solutions which help resolve their case with the most favorable outcome available based on the circumstances and facts of each case.

Glen’s areas of personal interest include photography, antique and curio restoration, creating stained glass art work, home construction and remodeling.
