Joshua S. Hopstone is a versatile attorney with experience counseling businesses and individuals in a broad range of legal areas. His trial and litigation practice is focused primarily on complex business and real estate matters, land use, and construction related disputes, with particular emphasis on those arising from the conveyance of commercial, residential, and agricultural real property; natural resources interests including oil and gas and water rights; quiet title and partition actions; development entitlement; construction defects; as well as compliance with environmental and other administrative regulatory protections at the federal, state and municipal level. A true jack of all trades, Josh also has years of experience resolving complex issues in areas such as employment, contracts, fraud, elder abuse, family law, trust and probate, and consumer and commercial matters. Concurrently, Josh has developed a reputation as a prominent appellate advocate, having successfully prosecuted numerous appeals before various California appellate courts, the California Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Active in the Ventura County legal and business communities, Josh currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Bar Association; is currently the President of the Ventura County Barristers; and an active member of the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association and the Ventura and Greater Conejo Valley Chambers of Commerce. Josh has authored numerous articles published in legal journals across the State of California. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Michelle and their children Benjamin and Natalie.
