Getting to know your attorney is an important process in the attorney client relationship. I cannot represent you to the very best of my ability unless you have an absolute comfort level with me and my ability to achieve positive results for you.

Critical to the attorney/client relationship is my client having an understanding about who I am. I received a Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ is Sociology with a focus on Criminology in 1992. I was hired by the Mahwah Police Department, located in Bergen County, New Jersey, in 1993 and began pursuing a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice that I received from New Jersey City University in Jersey City New Jersey in 1996. I attended Brooklyn Law School by day and worked full time as an officer at night, later finishing my studies at the Ivy League law School, The University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2000.

I am admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and have been in private practice since 2000, focusing solely on criminal defense work. My law practice has grown from years of dedication, hard work and a commitment to providing the best results for my clients, at reasonable fees.

I am a certified instructor by the Police Training Commission in New Jersey and have been a guest lecturer at Rutgers Law School, William Paterson University, Ramapo College and Bergen Community College. I regularly lecture and instruct on topics related to Criminal Law. I often instruct at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety institute on Arrest, Search and Seizure. Upon retirement from police work in 2013 I was awarded the prestigious Mayor’s Diamond Club Award and the Key to the City, for the Township of Mahwah, for my years of dedicated service to the community.

On a personal level I work closely with several not-for profit organizations and businesses that financially support these organizations as well as being a member of several law related organizations in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In sum, I am quite proud of the reputation I have earned of being a competent, honest, principled, caring and diligent attorney, who takes a personal interest in every case I take on. I am also proud of the strong relationships I have cultivated, through the years, with Judges and their staff, with police officers, probation officers, prosecutors and fellow attorneys which allow me to go the extra mile for my clients and achieve results that many other attorneys cannot.
