Raised in Albuquerque AttorneySoutheast Albuquerque, Leon graduated as the co-faculty award recipient with his law partner, Chris Lucero, for their leadership and service to the community while attending the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Upon graduation Leon worked in Santa Fe, New Mexico as a trial attorney where he learned the ins and outs of the criminal justice system. Next, Leon worked at the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico (ACLU), one of the nation’s largest civil rights organizations, as a staff attorney. While at the ACLU, he successfully represented clients whose constitutional rights were violated. These cases included Illegal Search and Seizures, Freedom of Speech, Religious Freedom, Racial Profiling, Parental Rights, and Student’s Rights.

Before creating the Law Office of Lucero and Howard, Leon worked at the Dan Cron Law Firm, a high-end criminal defense law firm, and cultivated his skills as a trial and appellate attorney. Through his work at the ACLU and the Dan Cron Law Firm, Leon has experience in cases that garner media attention.

Leon litigates cases in Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, Metropolitan Court, State District Court, Federal District Court, Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court.

Leon started a law firm with his friend, classmate and colleague, Chris P. Lucero, because he shares his passion for justice and providing personalized legal representation to New Mexicans.
