William "Bill" Irwin joined The Rentfro Law Firm as an associate attorney after completing law school and passing the Texas Bar Exam in 2011. Since returning to Brownsville, he has represented individuals and businesses in a variety of civil matters. His areas of practice include estate planning, probate law, real estate law, local government law, business and commercial law.

Bill was born and raised in Brownsville. Upon finishing high school at St. Joseph Academy, he attended The University of Texas at Austin where he graduated in 2008 with honors and special honors in Government. In 2008, he was named a William Jennings Bryan Scholar for an outstanding undergraduate thesis in Government. Bill received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Mississippi in 2011. While studying in Oxford, Bill was a senior member of The Civil Legal Clinic’s Low-Income Housing Division, which is devoted to providing legal services to less fortunate individuals and families facing eviction or foreclosure, as well as victims of illegal lockouts and predatory lending practices.

Bill is a member the Cameron County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Cameron County Young Lawyers Association. While he is not working, Bill enjoys reading, music, playing golf, exercising, and watching sports of all kinds.
