Christa graduated magna cum laude from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota, with dual degrees in political science and writing. After interning in the United States Senate in Washington D.C., she returned to her Midwestern roots and earned her law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Christa is admitted and licensed to practice law in Nebraska, North Dakota, and the United States District Court – District of Nebraska. She is a trained and certified mediator and a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, State Bar Association of North Dakota, and Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys.

Christa and her husband reside in Lincoln with their daughters.
