| Description | Henry James Joseph was admitted to the practice of law in March, 1996. After working in plaintiff’s legal malpractice, he worked for a small firm in Brooklyn doing divorce/family law, criminal law, landlord-tenant and real estate law, before opening his own firm in 2000. He served on the Assigned Counsel Plan representing indigent clients in Criminal Court and Family Court until 2006 when he was appointed Principle Court Attorney to an Acting Justice of the Supreme Court. They served in the Family Court, Kings County doing custody, visitation, guardianship, adoption and order of protection matters, and in the Matrimonial Term of Supreme Court. In that capacity he has his own calendar of cases, conferences and settled hundreds of proceedings, and was the principle author of over 200 judicial decisions. When the Justice announced her retirement in 2011, he returned to private practice, focusing on matrimonial and family law matters. |
