Paul brings a unique perspective to client representation. He combines business and financial skills with extensive early experience in civil trial and appellate work, including the Ohio Supreme Court. His family owned a small business which provided Paul an early familiarity with opportunities and perils which he now employs to counsel business owners, professionals and executives today. Paul assists his clients to plan, anticipate, identify and resolve looming contentious issues which may otherwise lead to litigation. If litigation is necessary, particularly if trade secrets are at risk, Paul will vigorously represent his client’s interests in court.

Paul focuses his practice on counseling business owners, professionals and executives to manage risk, add value, increase growth, seize opportunities, optimize profitability, and develop succession plans for future generations or create exit strategies for the present owners. A deep and comprehensive understanding of small business family dynamics, estate planning, income, estate and gift tax, mergers and acquisitions, and philanthropy enhance a typical engagement. Corporate governance, shareholder agreements, transactional documents, preparation and implementation of estate plans, trust and estate administration and pre-marital agreements represent key areas of Paul’s practice.

Paul has been active in the community throughout his professional career, serving as Trustee and President of the Rotary Club of Cleveland, Trustee and Chairman of the Cleveland Rotary Foundation, Trustee of Scarborough Hall, executive committee member of the Entrepreneur’s Association of John Carroll University, and member of the Business AdvisoryNetwork. He is a Member of the Union Club.
