Joseph A. Lockwood III, Esq. is an associate attorney with Gusty A.E. Sunseri & Associates, P.C. Attorney Lockwood’s practice focuses on real estate and real property issues, estate planning and administration, oil and gas law, including lease negotiation and property issues, civil litigation, family law, including divorce, child custody, and support, business and transactional law, and criminal defense.

Attorney Lockwood grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania in the Hazleton area. He graduated from Saint Francis University (Loretto, Pennsylvania) in 2009 with a B.A. in political science. Attorney Lockwood then attended the Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University (Carlisle, Pennsylvania), graduating with his Juris Doctor in 2012. During his time in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Attorney Lockwood spent two years clerking in the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, trying numerous summary appeal hearings and non-jury trials and drafting countless trial motions and appellate briefs.Attorney Lockwood has been practicing law in the Pittsburgh area since 2012. For several years, he practiced oil and gas, real property, and contract law as an associate attorney with a mid-sized firm in downtown Pittsburgh. In early 2016, Attorney Lockwood joined Gusty A.E. Sunseri & Associates, P.C. to broaden his practice areas. The move also gave Attorney Lockwood the opportunity to transition from a strictly corporate client base to one in which he can help all types of people and businesses every day.Attorney Lockwood is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
