Joe currently focuses his practice primarily in the areas of business services, real estate, and estate planning. Admitted to the Kentucky bar in 2005, Joe’s early experience was in the insurance defense litigation practice area, but as his transactional practice grew, Joe honed in on practice areas that allow him to be more accessible to his real estate and business clients. Company formation, contract negotiation and drafting, and assisting clients in the sale or purchase of businesses now occupy much of Joe’s day-to-day time in the general practice of law. Joe and CLP partner, Ryan Pogue, are both members and closing attorneys for Upland Title, LLC, and spend much of their time closing commercial and residential real estate transactions for clients of that entity. A native of Henderson, Kentucky, Joe graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.A. in Government and History, and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville’s Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.

Joe and his wife, Micah, reside in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where they are members of Living Hope Baptist Church. Joe has served on several boards and organizations in the past, and is currently the President of the Friends of the L&N Depot, Inc., which operates Bowling Green’s Historic Railpark and Museum at the old L&N Depot facility. Joe is also privileged to donate legal and title company services to Habitat for Humanity of Simpson County. When he’s not working at CLP or Upland Title, you might find Joe fishing on Lake Barkley, hunting, working in the family garden, or helping Micah care for her quarterhorse, Rascal.
