Chris Lyster is a Partner with this firm. For over 25 years, his practice in Texas and other jurisdictions has primarily consisted of representing individuals and businesses, generally, as well as in litigation matters. In the litigation portion of his practice, he represents clients in all types of Business and Commercial Litigation, Contract Disputes, Construction, Insurance Defense and Coverage, Consumer, Energy and Environmental, Business Torts and Employment, Banking and Finance, Probate and Trust, as well as Homeowners Association representation and disputes. He is also qualified as Mediator and Family Law Mediator.

Mr. Lyster was born in Denver, Colorado, but spent the first 10 years of his life growing up in the Middle East and in England. When his family came back to the States, they settled in New Mexico, where he finished up high school. He graduated with a B.B.A. in Marketing from Texas Tech University in 1981 before he worked as a sales representative in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. After working in the business world for six years, he enrolled in law school at Texas Tech University School of Law where he received a J.D. in 1990. Later that same year, he was admitted as a member of the State Bar of Texas and began practicing in Fort Worth with one of the larger firms there. In addition, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the District of Colorado, and is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He has previously been a board member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and served on the Court Advisory Committee of the United States District Courts, Northern District. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Tort, Insurance and Coverage Sections, the Consumer Law and Litigation Sections of the State Bar of Texas, the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. Chris is on the board of the Tarrant County Association of Mediators and is rated AV Preeminent (5.0) by Martindale-Hubbell.
