Jillian E. Mack, from Lexington, North Carolina, joined Ellis Family Law in November 2013 as an associate attorney. Prior to joining EFL Jillian ran her own law office practicing in the areas of Family, Employment, and Criminal Law. She is known as a tenacious advocate with a desire to achieve the best possible results for her clients in or out of the courtroom.

In the fall of 2011 Jillian was named one of the top ten Representatives of the American Bar Association (ABA) for her recruitment work in the organization. ( http://law.nccu.edu/aba-august-campaign/). In 2015 and 2016 North Carolina Business magazine recognized Jillian as a Legal Elite in Family Law. In 2015 and 2016 Jillian coached the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Trial Team at North Carolina Central University School of Law with the 2015 placing 2nd in its region comprised of four (4) states. In 2016 Jillian was honored as a Top 40 under 40 recipient from both The National Advocates and North Carolina Central University.

Jillian graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with majors in Political Science and Sociology and a minor in Social and Economic Justice. Jillian edited UNC’s yearbook, Yackety Yack, for two (2) years. Jillian attended law school at North Carolina Central University graduating with a Civil Rights and Constitutional Law Concentration.

While in law school Jillian interned with Special Court Programs in Orange County’s District 15B, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Capital Punishment Project. Jillian also produced NCCU School of Law’s iSpeak First Amendment Blog Talk Radio Show (http://law.nccu.edu/ispeak-blog-radio-show/), participated in the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) interstate trial teams, was Treasurer of the Trial Advocacy Board, served as NCCU School of Law’s American Bar Association Representative, and served on the Social Action Committee of the National Black Law Student Association.

In her spare time Jillian paints, runs, and is actively involved in the Durham Jaycees serving as President of the community organization in 2016 and currently serving as Chairman of the Board.
