Ms. Marler received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Maryville University. As an undergraduate she was active in the American Marketing Association and president of the local chapter. Ms. Marler also received the John E. Simon School of Business Award for Excellence in Marketing and was selected to be a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa, National Leadership Honor Society.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Marler departed her native home of St. Louis, Missouri and headed to the East Coast for Law School. Ms. Marler attended New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received her juris doctorate degree and graduated cum laude. As a law student Ms. Marler was selected as a member of the Law Review and authored the publication The International Convention on Cybercrime: Should the United States Ratify? Ms. Marler was also a founding member and event coordinator for the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. After law school Ms. Marler was selected to work for the Department of Justice through the Attorney General’s Honors program. While working for the Department of Justice, Ms. Marler was assigned to the Executive Office for Immigration Review, where she clerked for seven Federal Immigration Judges in Houston, Texas.

After her time on the East Coast and in Texas, Ms. Marler returned to her home state of Missouri and where she began practicing law in Missouri as a criminal defense attorney with the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office. Later, Ms. Marler transitioned and focused her practice as a Prosecuting Attorney with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. After practicing criminal law for several years, Ms. Marler focused her practice on her true passion, family law, where she has spent the majority of her legal career.

Ms. Marler partners with her clients to achieve the best possible outcome through the most challenging of circumstances. Ms. Marler is a fierce advocate for her clients and prides herself on her high standards, impeccable work ethic, and unfailing dedication to her clients. Ms. Marler is currently based out of the firm’s Brentwood Office where she represents clients in divorce, paternity, modification, custody, pre-nuptial, post-nuptial agreements, post judgment enforcement, appeals, surrogacy, adoption and guardianship cases.

Ms. Marler has been selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star through Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers in 2013 and 2014. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state receive this honor. Ms. Marler was also Lead Counsel Rated for Family Law in 2014, which is a quality assurance tool established in 1997. Attorneys are eligible to be Lead Counsel Rated after demonstrating significant experience, peer endorsements and a clean discipline history.

Ms. Marler is an avid animal lover and served as a past board-member for the Wildlife Rescue Center, where she was recognized as a Defender of Wildlife for her work prosecuting animal abuse cases. Ms. Marler enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Lily and Baxter. In her free time, Ms. Marler enjoys traveling and visiting local venues to enjoy live music.
