Robert F. Marvin is a lifelong Michigan resident and originally hails from Jackson, Michigan. He now resides with his wife and childhood sweetheart, Brittany, and son, Finnegan, in Iosco Township. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice along with a minor in Accounting and Taxation from Grand Valley State University in 2008, and in 2011, Mr. Marvin graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law as a Merit Scholarship Recipient and as a recipient of Jurisprudence Awards in Franchise Law and Construction Law.

During law school, Mr. Marvin volunteered at Michigan State College of Law’s Small Business and Nonprofit Clinic and developed a love for business and assisting people realize and protect their dreams. He served as Managing Editor of Business for the Journal of Business and Securities Law, as a teaching assistant for Research, Writing, & Advocacy I and II, and undertook numerous externships and internships in the areas of business, nonprofit, trademark, bankruptcy and creditor’s rights law.

Before joining Myers & Myers, PLLC, Mr. Marvin served as a research attorney for Livingston County Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Hatty, assisting with the Court’s busiest civil and felony docket. During his time with the Court, Mr. Marvin not only developed a deep appreciate for the local community but also gained a deep understanding of many of the common and preventable problems faced by private clients and business owners. This has given Mr. Marvin a unique prospective in assisting clients avoid future problems through anticipation and planning. However, if clients find themselves beyond the prevention stage and faced with litigation, Mr. Marvin is aptly suited to assist clients navigate all aspects of the trial and appellate court system, having successfully prosecuted and defended complex civil cases and collection matters ranging in value from tens of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars.
