Steven E. McBride is of counsel with Ciancio, Ciancio, Brown, P.C., one of the senior attorneys in the firm’s Family Law Group. Mr. McBride’s practice focuses on high asset divorces, including complex child custody, property, and family support matters.

Mr. McBride has over 40 years of experience. His practice was originally a general practice, covering multiple areas of law including civil litigation, criminal defense work, and probate administration. He has specialized in family law for over twenty years.

Mr. McBride also has an extensive practice in the area of alternative dispute resolution, wherein he serves as a mediator, an arbitrator, or special master in assisting parties and their lawyers in obtaining expeditious resolutions of their disputes. Mr. McBride has served as president of a number of Colorado legal associations: the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Council, and the Arapahoe County Bar Association.

He has received many awards including the Arapahoe County Bar Association Lifetime Achievement Award, the ACBA Young Lawyer of the Year, the CBA Professionalism Award, and yearly recognition as a Best Lawyer in America and a Colorado Super Lawyer.

Mr. McBride has chaired several task forces focused on improvements to the Colorado Family Law practice and frequently lectures in continuing legal education programs to fellow lawyers and judges.
