Michael McDougall joined MTSA in 2015. Previously, Mike was an associate attorney working at a well-known, high-asset family law firm in San Mateo. He also worked in the Santa Clara County Self-Help Center/ Family Law Facilitator’s Office assisting clients with dissolution and parentage cases, child custody, and spousal and child support.

Mike graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2012 with a Specialization Certificate in Family Law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a minor in Communications, from Santa Clara University where he was a member of the English Honors Society.

Mike achieved Dean’s List honors every semester in law school and was recognized with the CALI award for Academic Excellence in Family Law Practice. Mike received two Witkin awards for highest class grades, completed the Honors Lawyering Program and was a member of the Moot Court Board.

Mike is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Santa Clara County Bar Association (Family Law Section).

Mike has been a San Jose Sharks season ticket holder for 15 years and enjoys spending time with his family and travelling when not practicing law.
