Growing up in a small mid-Missouri town, my parents instilled in me the importance of hard work. My father is a plumber, and my mother works for the University of Missouri-Columbia. When I moved to Kansas City for law school, I knew I wanted to defend the rights of hardworking individuals like my family and friends back home.

After graduating law school, I worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jack R. Grate in Jackson County Circuit Court. I learned the ins and outs of litigation, and the most effective ways to represent clients in the courtroom. In practice, I truly enjoy listening to the stories of my clients, which range from workplace discrimination and sexual harassment, to retaliation and wrongful termination. I also represent children who experience bullying, harassment, and abuse in the public school setting. I value each of my clients, and feel thegreatest sense of satisfaction from achieving justice on his or her behalf.
