Description

While Laurie enjoys practicing law in a broad array of areas, she generally focuses her work on civil litigation as well as estate planning and probate. Laurie received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2006 and has worked closely with clients in East Tennessee ever since. Prior to joining Logan-Thompson, P.C., Laurie worked for one of Knoxville’s largest firms, Woolf, McClane, Bright, Allen & Carpenter, PLLC. She looks forward to the opportunity to more closely serve her clients in the McMinn and Bradley County area.

Laurie is the daughter of the late David F. Harrod, a longtime attorney in Athens who was also a Circuit Court Judge for the 10th Judicial Circuit. In addition to her dedication to the legal profession, Laurie is devoted to community service through her work with organizations such as United Way of McMinn-Meigs Counties and the Athens-based Good Faith Clinic. She was recently presented the "Top 20 Under 40 Award," a Daily Post-Athenian sponsored award that acknowledges the best of young entrepreneurs in their profession and community.
