Angela Miles is a senior associate at Joel H. Schwartz, P.C. who concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, worker’s compensation and discrimination matters. She practices throughout Massachusetts in both Superior and District Court as well as before the Department of Industrial Accidents. Angela also handles family law matters, including divorces, paternity actions, and modifications of child support and custody.

In 2015, Angela was nominated and awarded the prestigious membership to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40. This organization is composed of the top trial lawyers from each state who are under 40 years of age. Membership is by invitation only.

In February 2012, Angela was invited to be a judge at the New England Regional Mock Trial Tournament sponsored by Boston University. Twenty-six talented teams from colleges and universities in the New England area competed. Angela truly enjoys educating college students and aspiring attorneys who are eager to enter the field of law.

Prior to joining the firm, Angela was an associate at a Brookline firm focusing on family law and general civil litigation matters. While in law school, she was an intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office as well as three civil litigation firms.

Angela is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and Women’s Bar Associations. She has also handled pro bono divorces on behalf of the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project and Women’s Bar Associations. When interviewed recently about her volunteer work for these organizations, she put it simply, "everyone should have access to justice and it pains me to see so many people unable to afford quality legal representation."

Angela received her B.A. in political science, history, and legal studies from the University of Wisconsin in 2002, and her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 2006. She is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and the District Court of Massachusetts.
