Laura is a shareholder and trial attorney defending clients against claims of medical negligence and motor vehicle liability. With over ten years of litigation experience, Laura understands that a successful defense requires more than a command of the law and skilled advocacy. She believes each client deserves to be represented by a lawyer who is helpful, responsive, and always prepared.

Laura represents health care providers and facilities against claims of medical negligence through all stages of litigation, including appeals. Together with the medical negligence litigation team at Quinlivan & Hughes, Laura has successfully defended a wide variety of medical negligence claims related to birth injuries, failure to diagnose, orthopedic surgeries, emergency medicine, internal medicine and nursing care. Laura currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee for the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.

Laura also defends insurance companies in their insureds in no-fault, bodily injury, UM/UIM and premises liability claims. She has handled claims involving claims of neck and back pain, injection therapy, radio-frequency neurotomies, spinal surgery, orthopedic injuries, and wrongful death. Laura has also represented clients in cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Minnesota Supreme Court and is a frequent lecturer on up-to- date topics such as trial strategy, collateral source calculations, and joint and several liability.

Laura was born and raised in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She is a 2002 graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where she received a BA in Finance with minors in Economics, Philosophy, and Legal Studies, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School. Laura joined the firm in 2005.
