Philip I. Moncharsh has been a litigation and trial lawyer since his admission to practice law in 1973. Mr. Moncharsh has successfully argued hundreds of cases to verdict in state and federal courts throughout California, and has also appeared before the California Supreme Court. He concentrates his practice in the areas of complex business and corporate disputes, insurance litigation and coverage issues, representation and counseling of public agencies and nonprofit organizations, personal injury, product liability and professional negligence matters, and civil trials and appeals.

Mr. Moncharsh serves as a court-appointed arbitrator for the Ventura and Santa Barbara County Superior Courts, has sat as a Judge Pro Tem, and is a long time member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the California, Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, and Los Angeles County Bar Associations and Trial Lawyers Associations.

In the local community, Mr. Moncharsh has served as advisor to the Ojai City Council, as well as personally counseled the Ojai Community Hospital Board, Ventura County Media Network, Committee for Environmental Education, Ojai Music Festival, and Citizens for Responsible Government. Mr. Moncharsh co-founded and served as President of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy and is a past President of the Yale Club of Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

Mr. Moncharsh graduated from Yale University in 1970 and received his J.D. from The Columbia University School of Law in 1973.
