Cary, a graduate of Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, developed his passion for client advocacy and the resolution of complex matters through his previous career working on behalf of the Los Angeles Unified School District. In that position, Cary represented the LAUSD at due process mediations, negotiated and drafted hundreds of confidential settlement agreements in connection with claims brought on behalf of parties with disabilities, and supervised compliance efforts with federal law mandates at schools across the LAUSD region.

While in law school, Cary focused on building litigation experience through his legal externships with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and the civil defense firm Carpenter Rothans & Dumont. Now as an associate with The Ledbetter Law Firm, APC, Cary has dedicated his legal career to providing strong advocacy for consumers pursuing lemon law claims.

Prior to law school, Cary earned a B.A. in Literature from the University of California Santa Cruz, as well as an M.A. in Special Education at Loyola Marymount University, where he graduated with honors. He was awarded the Wildman Schumacher Scholarship to attend Southwestern Law School’s prestigious two-year J.D. program, where he graduated in 2016.

Cary is a Los Angeles native and resides with his wife and two daughters in Marina Del Rey. Cary is a member of the state bar of California, and is licensed to practice law in The United States District Court, Central District of California. In addition, he is an active member of several legal organizations.
