Before joining Gantenbein Law Firm, Mr. Murray attended law school in Jacksonville, Florida. There, he gained litigation experience in United States Tax Court while interning at the Low Income Tax Clinic. He also volunteered with the AARP-Vita program where he prepared federal tax returns for elderly and low-income individuals. Mr. Murray was very active in the law school community and graduated with Pro Bono honors for completing over 150 hours of volunteer work while in law school.

After graduating from law school, Tyler moved to Denver, Colorado and began his LL.M. in taxation at the University of Denver.

During his studies at the University of Denver, Mr. Murray focused on the taxation of entities. At the same time, Tyler was also a law clerk focusing on estate planning and administration. After graduating with his LL.M., Tyler practiced family law, with a focus on large marital estates and complex asset situations. Tyler also served as the founding president of his law firm in Denver, the Law Office of Murray & Wright, P.C., where he focused on state and federal taxation, estate planning and administration, and entity formation. As one of the best Denver tax attorneys, Tyler is very active with Colorado Bar Association Tax Section, where he serves as editor of their newsletter, and as a Co-Chair of their Pro Se Taxpayer Clinic. Tyler currently sits on the Executive Council of the Tax Section in the position of Vice-Chair. Mr. Murray previously served as Treasurer of Colorado Bar Assocation, Tax Association.

In addition to being a lawyer with his Masters in Tax Law, Tyler is a well-published author on taxation and business – including several legal and scholarly articles regarding Amazon’s taxation issues. Tyler also taught at multiple legal seminars and Continuing Legal Education classes for lawyers. Tyler has also provided House testimony in support of Colorado taxation issues.
