Ms. Nester received her J.D. from Stanford Law School. She received her B.A., with distinction, and M.A. in Political Science from Yale University. Prior to joining Togut, Segal & Segal LLP, Ms. Nester was an associate in the litigation group of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she represented financial and other commercial institutions in securities, antitrust, and other complex litigations. Her experience includes: Defending a major financial institution in a fraudulent conveyance adversary proceeding brought by the debtors’ unsecured creditors Obtaining dismissal in the Bankruptcy Court and affirmance by the District Court on behalf of banking client in lawsuit involving tortious interference with contract and prospective business relations claimsDefending securities class action lawsuit brought by shareholders in federal district courtRepresenting financial institution in connection with multiple lawsuits related to residential mortgage-backed securities |
