Jamie was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of Southwestern University School of Law, Jamie earned several honors while in law school. These include the American Jurisprudence Book Award in Legal Research and Writing, the CALI "Excellence for the Future Award" in Advanced Civil Procedure and a finalist in the Intramural Moot Court Competition. Jamie received her bachelors degree in English (creative writing emphasis) from Sonoma State University, with a double minor in Political Science and Art Studio.

Well into her legal career, Jamie was a key participant in the development of the law and motion practice for a plaintiffs’ products liability and asbestos injury firm from its inception in 2006 until May of 2009. Additionally, Jamie was a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert Takasugi of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She also served as a law clerk for the Orange County Superior Court Law and Motion Department.

Joining Brayton Purcell LLP in September 2011, Jamie came to us from the Riverside County Superior Court where she was a judicial staff attorney. While working there, she advised bench officers on civil law and motion rulings starting in 2009. Additionally, she was a Senior Staff Attorney in the civil section at Solano County Superior Court where she likewise prepared recommended rulings on law and motion for the judges there.

She was also a guest lecturer for Legal Research and Writing in both Fall 2009 and Winter 2010 at the University of California Riverside, Extension for the ABA Paralegal Program. The Program is supervised by UC Davis School of Law.

Jamie is admitted to practice law in the state of California and the federal courts in the Central District of California. She currently resides in Petaluma with her husband and two daughters. She is an equine enthusiast and overall animal lover. Prior to moving to Northern California, Jamie was a volunteer at the Shea Therapeutic Riding Center in San Juan Capistrano, California, a facility that assists in the support and development of children and adults with special emotional, intellectual and physical needs. Currently, Jamie is on the Board of Directors for Cinnabar Arts Corporation in Petaluma, California, which operates Cinnabar Theater. Jamie is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has been since 1979.
