Kelly-Ann Norgaard recently re-joined the firm as an associate, having previously been employed with the firm for several years as a paralegal before attending law school. Ms. Norgaard specializes in bankruptcy, general insolvency, debtor-creditor relations, foreclosure, environmental matters, land use, and general real estate transactions. She also handles all aspects of civil litigation.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Kelly-Ann Norgaard was an associate at Gordon & Gordon, P.C. with a focus on environmental litigation. She served as special counsel to the Attorney General in cases involving damage to the State’s natural resources. In addition, she represented individual clients who suffered physical injury or property damage as a result of environmental contamination. She also handled personal injury matters including automobile negligence, general negligence, and premises liability.

Ms. Norgaard also served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Garry J. Furnari, J.S.C. in the Superior Court, Essex County, New Jersey, Civil Division. She graduated cum laude from Pace University School of Law, earning certificates in Environmental and International Law. As a law student she was an intern for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Air Enforcement Division, and was selected to participate in Pace Law School’s Environmental Litigation Clinic. She is also the author of a published article entitled Kenya’s Legal Regime for Environmental Protection: A Time of Transition, Comparative Environmental Law and Regulation, Oceana Publications, Dobbs Ferry, New York.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Pitzer College in Claremont, California with a combined major in Environmental Studies/Biology. She is presently a member of the Planning Board of the Borough of Leonia, chairs the Planning Board’s Master Plan Committee, and is a member of the Site Plan Review Committee. She is also a member of the Legislative Committee of the New Jersey Chapter of the Sierra Club.
