Alicia M. O’Connell joined the firm in 2011, partnering with her father, Philip, at the practice he started over thirty years ago. Ms. O’Connell specializes in real estate conveyancing, estate planning, the administration of estates and elder law.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. O’Connell worked as an associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York, New York. Before attending law school, she worked in the non-profit sector in Washington, D.C. at national organizations focusing on women’s issues.

In 2014, Ms. O’Connell was recognized as a 40 Under Forty honoree by the Worcester Business Journal. She was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She speaks frequently on the attorney’s role in real estate transactions to first-time home buyers and is an active volunteer in women’s and youth organizations in Worcester County.

Ms. O’Connell is a member of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce. She has leadership roles at the Women’s Initiative of the United Way of Central Massachusetts, Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School, Girls Inc. of Worcester and ArtsWorcester.

Ms. O’Connell is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts. She is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association and Massachusetts Bar Association.

Ms. O’Connell is a graduate of Bowdoin College and New York Law School, where she was an Articles Editor of the New York Law School Law Review and a John Harlan Marshall Scholar.
